Each spring, the Interactive portion of the South by Southwest Conference in Austin, Texas brings together some of the most creative and inventive individuals of the online and interactive world for several fun days of keynotes, sessions, panels, and parties. Last year, I finally had a chance to go for the first time, and had a blast. [Do we still use that word?]
Via the Austin chapter, members of the AIGA can register for SxSW Interactive for a nicely discounted price of US$95 through January 10, 2004. See more information on AIGA Austin’s Events page. However, note that (at the time of this writing) this events page is now a little out of date, as you’ll actually save $100 (instead of $80) off the current registration price of US$195. (Thanks to James Craig for the tip on the discount.)
Details are filling in on the SxSW site. Preview the schedule of keynotes and panels and a list of confirmed speakers here. Though the list appears to not have been updated recently, as two of the four gents (names you’ll easily recognize) with whom I’ll be sharing a panel have not yet been added. (More info to come later.) Among many other great topics for the whole festival, looks like CSS is King for Monday morning.
